Dear BA brothers and sisters,

Church Camp is a special event on our church calendar. It’s a chance for us to meet together as one big church family to have uninterrupted time to sit together under God’s Word and to form spiritual friendships across the generations and across congregations.

It’s a chance for people new to our church family to build deeper bonds within our community. It’s a chance for people who perhaps have drifted away from the Lord to re-connect with Him and his people. It’s a chance for BA regulars to build on old friendships and make new ones.

At Church Camp 2026, we’re very blessed to have Rory Shiner as our speaker for the English camp.

Rory studied Arts at the University of Western Australia and theology at Moore College in Sydney. His PhD is on the life and work of Donald Robinson. He is senior pastor of Providence City Church in Perth, where he lives with his wife, Susan, and their four boys. He has written books on Union with Christ and on the relationship between Jesus’ resurrection and our own. His most recent book is The World Next Door: A Short Guide to the Christian Faith.

For our camp, Rory will be giving 5 bible talks on the Sermon on the Mount entitled Salt, Light and the City. We’ll discover together what Jesus means when he calls his followers the salt of the earth, the light of the world and the city on a hill.
