Fly, train or drive? Transport to and from Kuala Lumpur City

The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Universiti (KJ19) KL Monorail station which is 4 stops from KL Sentral (MR1). KL Sentral is one of the main transport hubs in Kuala Lumpur.

 

FLIGHTS

There are two airports that you can fly to in Kuala Lumpur

  • Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), IATA code (KUL)
  • Subang International Airport (Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport), IATA code (SZB)

 

Via Kuala Lumpur International Airport

Most major regional airlines, some listed below, offer daily flights between Changi Airport (SIN) and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)

  • Singapore Airlines
  • Malaysian Airlines
  • AirAsia
  • Scoot
  • Jetstar
  • Malindo Air

From airport to hotel

To get to the hotel from KLIA, you can either:

  • Take a taxi/Grabcar directly from the airport to the hotel. The journey is about 60 km and should take between 60 to 90 minutes by car, dependant on traffic. (Avoid rushhour timing!)
  • Take the KLIA Express from the airport to KL Sentral Station. The journey should take about 30 to 40 minutes. From KL Sentral, you can either take a taxi/Grabcar to the hotel or take the KL Monorail and alight at Universiti (KJ19), which is a 5-minute walk to the hotel.

Via Subang International Airport

Please take note that if you plan to travel via Subang International Airport (SZB), you must fly from Seletar Airport, IATA code (XSP).

Only Firefly Airlines operate daily flights for this route.

BUS

There are several coach companies that provide daily trips between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. The journey by coach should take between 5 to 6 hours.

TRAIN *NEW*

The new Johor Bahru to Kuala Lumpur train service has started since December 2025. There are 5 daily train services and it is recommended that you book either of the first three services (7.35am, 8.40am or 12.45pm) in order to arrive to camp on time.
